Job Title: Regulatory Manager

Salary: £40-£45k

Based: UK Factory (Stoke on Trent)

Looking for a Senior Regulatory Manager ready to, to join our rapidly growing, high energy business in the North West of England.

The business manufacture for private label and branded cosmetic products, from concept and design to delivery.

Our regulatory team is focused on ethical consumer trends. Raw materials are reviewed for cruelty free compliance, vegan suitability, plastic-free and sustainability being company standards for our formulations.

The role will be reporting to the Head of Compliance.

The role will primarily be focused on their internal brands, reviewing pack copies for products intended for global markets, as well as formulation review, creating PIFs and processing the relevant customer forms and country-specific documentation to support the launch of our brands into new retailers and new markets.

  • You will be responsible for the management of the regulatory team and ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed. Confirms that health and safety regulations are understood and followed.
  • Train staff in regulatory policies or procedures.
  • Establish regulatory priorities and budgets and allocate resources and workloads.
  • Manage activities such as audits, regulatory agency inspections, or product recalls.
  • Direct the preparation and submission of regulatory agency applications, reports, or correspondence.
  • Provide regulatory guidance to departments or development project teams regarding design, development, evaluation, or marketing of products.
  • Represent organisations before domestic or international regulatory agencies on major policy matters or decisions regarding company products.
  • Monitor regulatory affairs activities to ensure that they are aligned with corporate sustainability or green initiatives.

The role will work closely with the NPD and Lab teams to provide technical assessment for new formulations as part of product range development. As well closely working with our brands team and customers to ensure their requirements are met.

An ideal applicant would have a BSc/MSc Cosmetic Science or a Chemistry background with experience within the cosmetics industry through previous role, however open to all levels of experience.
