Packaging Manager

Role:             Packaging Manager

Location:      Portsmouth

Salary:          40 K

We are looking for a Packaging Manager to support the Procurement Manager in developing a strategy that will transition the business from its current position to more ethical sourcing and more environmentally focused.

The Role:

You will report to the Procurement Manager

Packaging Technologist: Will Report to you 

·        Partner with the commercial team to manage customer expectations relating to packaging solutions and timescales.

·        Global sourcing of new packaging materials.

·        Responsibility for creating and driving the sustainability agenda in collaboration with the Procurement Manager.

·        Manage packaging testing requirements in line with EU regulations.

·        Reducing/eliminate manufacturing downtime due to packaging inefficiencies.

·        Attend weekly Supply Chain meetings to discuss strategy/tactics, deliver KPI’s

·        Collaboration with internal stakeholders to provide functional and sustainability.

Experience Needed:

·        Packaging technology qualification or equivalent

·        Management qualification

·        Proven project management skills and supporting qualifications.
